They were a bit musty and one of the laces was stuck under a car part that had some oil on it. So I did remove the laces and soak and handwash them and dried them in the sun before relacing the shoes. There is still some slight discoloration from 21 years of age and improper storage. I hand spot cleaned the shoes as well with shoe leather accessories. I did NOT touch the red suede as red is notorious for bleeding onto everything!
